Spots still available for Women’s ACTS retreat on April 26-29

Apr 12, 2018

In the Gospel, we are told that Jesus often had mini-retreats. He spent 40 days in prayer and Jesus at times tells his disciples to “Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” Mark 6:31.

In our every day lives, it is sometimes high pressured and hectic, leading many to feel burnt out. Sometimes we ignore God’s creation principles of taking a Sabbath Day to stop and rest.  In order to recognize God working in our lives, we need to regularly take time out not to do – but just to ‘be’ with God, to stop and to spend time to rest before we go again. This is what God is calling us to do on a daily basis.

There is a Women's ACTS retreat taking place the weekend of April 26 through 29 (Thursday through Sunday). After all Masses this weekend (April 14 & 15), there will be women in the narthex to assist you with registration.

We welcome you and hope that you can attend because "Whoever remains in me, and I in him will bear much fruit, because without me you can do nothing." John 15:5 Attending this retreat will allow you to experience a refreshment in your mind, body and soul so that you can be open to His word. You will also have time to get to know yourself better by stopping, listening and just be.

If you have any questions or would like to register, contact one of the following directors: Delizia Cappellini Gallivan at (210) 781-9444, Liz Kall-Perry at (210) 845-7639 or Cheryl Stocker at (210) 872-1008.
