Children’s Liturgy of the Word has been an important ministry for many years at St. Mark’s. Giving children the experience of the Liturgy of the Word in their own environment, we are allowing them to hear the same readings the rest of the community hears but on their own level, and to engage in a dialogue about those readings to make connections to their own life.

We are always on the lookout for volunteers. The wonderful thing about volunteering for this ministry is that it is an easy commitment. Our leaders are young adults, grandparents, moms AND dads.

We are all busy, but this is one ministry that is so important for our children. Once a schedule is made, you only lead every 6 weeks or so. The materials are provided for you- we give you a whole script for what to say, and other resources are available. You can sign up to partner with a friend. If you can carry on a conversation with your own children, and you love the Lord, He will give you the courage and the faith to help the children of St. Mark’s grow in theirs.
