$1,000 scholarships are available for 2010 high school graduating parishioners who complete all the application requirements and sit for an interview before the joint Knights of Columbus and Women's Guild scholarship board. The application is available on the parish website. Letters of reference are not required, but we ask that you name two persons for reference. An essay component is required. A sealed 'official' high school transcript must be included. A photo should be electronically pasted into the application, or include a separate photo. Students should thoroughly relate their qualifications within the application. The complete packet must be turned in at the St. Mark the Evangelist parish office by February 25. No incomplete or late applications will be considered. More information will be coming in the Bulletin and February Newsletter. Awards are based on a student's lifelong active participation in Catholic parish activities - religious faith formation and involvement/service within our parish community and the student's greater community (school, neighborhood, city, etc.).
