sing the glory of His name;
give to Him glorious praise

 CAN YOU HEAR HIM CALLING TO COMPLETE THE SANCTUARY?

In the Latin Church the pipe organ is to be held in high esteem, for it is the musical instrument that adds a wonderful splendor to the Church's ceremonies and powerfully lifts up the spirit to God and to higher things.

After years of prayerful planning, the sanctuary of Saint Mark the Evangelist was built and designed for a pipe organ,.  John-Paul Buzard Pipe Organ Builders was selected by our Building Committee to build our organ.
Even though the expenses to complete the pipe organ are significant, they are manageable for our parish.  Because of the length of time between planning and starting the completion of Phase II, organ requirements have changed.  It will be necessary to modify the structure of the sanctuary in order to accommodate the new pipe organ.  During the installation process, this will be a perfect time to update and improve the sound system of St. Mark.  This is a project that has been needed for some time .  The organ's magnificent reverberation will benefit from an improved sound system and so will all of the services directed to our faith community.

As a member of our Catholic faith community, you are invited to pray for the success of the completion of our sanctuary.  Whether you sponsor a pipe, a key or any portion of this magnificent instrument, it will lift the minds and hearts of our faith community for generations to come as they gather to worship.  The projected date of completion: Fall of 2009.

Here is a link to how a pipe organ gets built. (THIS IS A NEW SEGMENT)  Click here     This is one design, but it highlights the intricacies of the building process from conception to tonal finishing after installation.

Please consider making a gift in honor of a loved one.  Your loved one's name will be placed in the altar and prayed for at all Masses.
