The Eucharist is not something we are meant to keep to ourselves. We receive the Eucharist so that we can share the presence of Christ with the world. We take Christ into ourselves, so that we can bring him to others in our lives. We are supposed to be the Body of Christ, so that the world can experience Christ!
The Eucharist demands of us—of each one in a unique way—a concrete way of sacrificing one’s life at the service of God’s Holy People. Our commitment to transform our own lives for the good of our families, our communities, our country, the Church and the entire world, is an expression of the action of the Holy Spirit who is transforming us and the universe—in a certain way—into Eucharist.
