FUNERALS

With St. Mark The Evangelist Catholic Church

The Liturgy Office will provide assistance to you and your family in planning and preparing for the Funeral Liturgy of a loved one. We will work with you in helping choose appropriate scripture reading and music to plan a special service.

For more information, contact us at

Ministers to the Sick and Grieving are trained people who will walk with the family during an illness. These ministers will help the family plan and prepare the funeral and will be available to help the grieving family as long as they are needed through listening and prayer.

CARING & SHARING MINISTRIES

The Caring and Sharing Team Ministry serves the community of St. Mark by providing a light meal at the church for family and friends of the deceased on the date of the funeral. It is a team effort - some members donate food items, others volunteer to work in the kitchen to prepare the sandwiches, etc. and some friends prefer to make a financial contribution to help purchase other items to complete the meal.

This is a very joyous ministry with many opportunities to give praise and glory to God. If you would like to be on our team of helpers, please call Ida Solano (636) 284-1189. No meetings and no dues!!!

To all the women and men who donate their time and effort to this special ministry: A SINCERE WORD OF THANKS. Also an explanation as to why you may not have been called to help. If no one is at home, and we are pressed for time we don't usually leave a message on a machine. We just go to the next name. You will eventually be contacted. And there are times when weeks go by without need for our services. We continually update our volunteer list and phone numbers. We really would like to have email addresses (to be kept confidential) for another contact access. Please contact Ida if you have any questions or comments.

MASS INTENTIONS

If you would like to submit a Mass intention for someone, please fill out a Mass Intention Request Form and turn it into the Pastoral Office.
