Founder Juliette Gordon Low organized the first Girl Scout Troop on March 12, 1912, in Savannah, Georgia.

Girl Scouts of the USA was chartered by the U.S. Congress on March 16, 1950.

Today, there are 3.2 million Girl Scouts—2.3 million girl members and 890,000 adult members working primarily as volunteers.
Empowering Girls
Girl Scout Troop 2346 aims to empower girls by providing opportunities to explore the world around them while developing leadership and team-building skills. Currently, our troop is composed of elementary, middle, and high school girls who are working toward the bronze, silver, and gold awards, respectively. The girls work on level-specific service, skill-building, and personal-growth projects throughout the year. Some of the activities we have planned for the year include camping, kickball, VFW service projects, nursing home visits, supporting Habitat for Humanity, a holiday riverboat ride, and obstacle courses. Our girls work hard on nut and cookie sales throughout the year to raise money for their activities. We have lots of fun too! This summer our girls enjoyed outings to a local roller rink, a trampoline park, and Schlitterbahn. We are looking forward to another fun, engaging, and productive year ahead!
